Operations and Training Manager

Emma was the first female wholetime firefighter in Cornwall and completed 21 years on the frontline for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.

After deciding on a career change in 2020, Emma joined Cornwall Ambulance Service and began work within the various frontline COVID-19 services such as COVID-19 swabbing and mass vaccination centres where Emma worked as Site Commander.

Emma went on to delivering frontline patient transport services within Cornwall Ambulance Service before becoming a member of the Operational Management Team.

As the Operations and Training Manager, Emma has worked in the management team setting up various innovative services in Cornwall, including lateral flow testing sites, COVID- 19 swabbing sites, mass vaccination centres and mobile COVID-19 services as well as working at the G7 summit as part of the resilience team. Alongside this, Emma holds responsibility in the Cornwall Ambulance Service training and education services.
