Information Governance Officer

Penny is an Information Governance specialist, having spent 16 years working for the Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service as the Information Manager overseeing compliance with the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulations, Records Management and Information Management.

In 2020, Penny joined Cornwall Ambulance Service at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, working at the frontline of swabbing and testing services delivered at that time. Penny subsequently progressed onto working in the mobile vaccination team and now as an Ambulance Care Assistant on frontline ambulances.

Drawing from her experience, Penny continues her frontline work whilst also taking a position as the Information Governance Officer, providing specialist advice and guidance in the organisations across the various areas of Information Governance.
